What are we looking for?

We are looking for candidates with one or more of the following skills:

Fundraising: The person will help us raise funds for various initiatives – will bring the growth mindset, and use creative problem solving.

Partnerships: The person will focus on tie-ups with NGOs, organizations, etc. to implement parts of the project. (Needs good communication, networks)

Program management: This person will lead projects from ideation to implementation.

Video Production/Social Media: The person will help us create / edit video, social media content for our social media & project-related communications.

Community-building: We need people who can support us with forming collaborations for our different hub projects. You need to be well connected within the social ecosystem or be a strong executioner who can find the who’s of who

Generalists who understand what a thriving Global Shapers Hub requires are also encouraged to apply.

What are the eligibility criteria?

If you fit the following criteria, apply to join the Gurugram hub. Successful applicants are:

between 18-27 years old
resident of Gurugram or lives nearby
dedicate specific hours during a week towards the hub projects.
committed to working with peers to improve their community
interested in developing their leadership potential
willing to support fellow Shapers in their personal and professional development

What happens after you apply?

We will follow a 3 stage process:

Stage 1: Application Screening basis Global Shaper Community and our internal criteria
Stage 2: Interview Round 1 with current Shapers
Stage 3: Interview Round 2 with Curator and Vice Curator

FAQs

Do I need to be based in Gurugram to be eligible for applying?

Applicants should either be based in Delhi NCR or be located in Delhi NCR (post the work from home scenario). All the shapers are required to participate in in-person hub meetings & activities whenever the COVID-19 situation allows.

I have just turned 28 years old this year, can I apply?

Unfortunately no. Candidates should be 27 years old till 3 months of their joining as a Global Shaper (Effectively till December 2022). This is because all Global Shapers are subject to a 3 month probation period.

How much time commitment is required to become a Global Shaper?

The time commitment for Global Shapers varies from hub to hub and also across different roles. On average, a time commitment of at least 4-7 hours per week should be expected. This can vary during certain parts of the year.

I am a Global Shaper from a different hub but I want to relocate to Gurugram. What should I do?

You can always request a hub transfer from your hub curator. However, you will have to go through the same recruitment process at the Gurugram Hub as any other candidate.

Is there any limit on the number of times I can apply for Gurugram Hub?
No, there is no limit on the number of times you can apply to the Gurugram Hub. Just be mindful of the criteria mentioned above.
